Madhavan reveals first look from G.D.N. biopic

Actor R. Madhavan revealed his appearance in the biopic G.D.N. on Saturday, generating widespread attention on social platforms for his clean-shaven portrayal. The film chronicles Gopalaswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, a self-taught engineer from Coimbatore who became known as the Edison of India after creating the country’s first domestic electric motor and developing affordable manufacturing solutions from foreign technologies.

Director Krishnakumar Ramakumar leads the production alongside Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films, with composer Govind Vasantha creating the soundtrack. Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Jayaram play supporting roles in the project, which explores Naidu’s industrial contributions to Tamil Nadu through his workshops, training programs, and technical colleges.

Madhavan recently appeared in the streaming release Aap Jaisa Koi as a Sanskrit professor navigating an unconventional relationship. The 25-year veteran maintains the appeal that first captured audiences in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.
