Hanu Raghavapudi explains use of Sanskrit Shlokas in Fauzi
Director Hanu Raghavapudi explained that the Sanskrit verses in the title refer to Fauzi, his historical action film starring Prabhas, because they enhance the weight and significance of the warrior narrative. The filmmaker clarified that while philosophical concepts from the Bhagavad Gita influenced the story, Fauzi is not a mythological picture but rather a patriotic drama that examines human emotions and sociopolitical strife under British rule in the 1940s.
Prabhas portrays a conflicted figure balancing obligation, sentiment and belief in this period epic that reunites him with large-scale historical storytelling after Baahubali. Actress Imanvi leads the female cast, while veterans Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Bhanu Chander and Jayapradha fill key supporting roles.
Vishal Chandrasekhar composes the soundtrack, reuniting with Raghavapudi after their collaboration on Sita Ramam. Sudeep Chatterjee handles cinematography, Krishna Kanth writes lyrics and Sheetal Sharma designs costumes for the multilingual release planned for next year.
