Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae trailer drops ahead of Halloween

Director Rahul Sadasivan released a second trailer on Saturday for Dies Irae, his horror thriller starring Pranav Mohanlal that opens worldwide on Thursday, Oct. 31. The censor board granted an A certificate for the Malayalam film, which follows a family’s only son who witnesses supernatural events but cannot share his experiences with skeptical neighbors who believe his household is cursed.

The production wrapped in April after beginning late March in Vadakara, finishing ahead of its 40-day schedule. Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal, art director Jothish Shankar and editor Shafique Mohammed Ali reunite from Sadasivan’s previous hit Brammayugam, the black-and-white period horror featuring Mammootty that earned critical praise. The new project draws from actual events and marks another collaboration between Mohanlal’s son and the team behind the cult classic.
