Maslenica plans new 90 berth marina
Jasenice municipality has requested environmental approval to build a 90-berth nautical facility near the demolished old bridge in Maslenica, aiming to enhance vessel safety and boost tourism across the wider Zadar County region. Documentation from Zeleni servis outlines plans for a 40-meter access pier and 170-meter breakwater covering approximately 40,700 square meters of land and sea, with accommodations for excursion boats, public transport craft, and recreational vessels.
The three-phase development will feature vehicle and pedestrian pathways, maritime protective structures, catering establishments, and roughly 97 parking spaces. A coastal promenade will connect to a two-lane road with a roundabout, separated by green space and service areas. Environmental assessments indicate permanent but minimal habitat impact, with underwater sections expected to develop new marine ecosystems over time.
