McTominay fit for Napoli’s Champions League clash with Eindhoven

Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay returned to full training on Monday ahead of the team’s Champions League match against Eindhoven on Tuesday. The Scottish player received three stitches in his ankle following a hard challenge at practice last week, but medical staff cleared him for the European competition fixture. McTominay sat out Napoli’s previous Serie A contest against Torino because of the ankle problem.

Striker Rasmus Hojlund remains unavailable for selection because of a muscle injury that kept him out of the last match. The Danish forward has not recovered sufficiently to join the squad for Tuesday’s encounter with the Dutch side. Napoli enters the match with three points from two Champions League group stage matches, and the club faces Inter Milan in Serie A on Saturday.
