MEA debars BLS International from future tenders for two years

BLS International has been banned from participating in all future tenders with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Indian Missions abroad for two years, the company confirmed in a filing on Saturday. This suspension, effective from October 9, follows allegations tied to court cases and complaints from applicants.

The company clarified that while it’s barred from bidding on new MEA-related projects, its existing contracts will not be affected. BLS insists the debarment won’t impact its current operations or financial performance, though it could limit growth opportunities in the future.

Despite the news, BLS shares saw a slight increase of 0.18%, though the stock has dropped over 30% this year.
