Min Aung Hlaing meets Vietnam-Myanmar group in Nay Pyi Taw

Acting President of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, met with Mr Chu Cong Phung, Chairman of the Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association, yesterday morning. They discussed Myanmar’s political progress, preparations for a free and fair election, and the invitation to international election observation teams.

The meeting also focused on strengthening relations between Myanmar and Vietnam, including Vietnam’s aid after the Mandalay earthquake. They explored cooperation in agriculture, livestock, production, tourism, and ways to boost trade and investment.

After the meeting, both leaders exchanged gifts and took photos. Present at the meeting were several senior officials, including General Ye Win Oo, U Mya Tun Oo, and U Ko Ko Kyaw.
