Modi, Khurelsukh push India-Mongolia ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Tuesday. The leaders greeted each other, planted a sapling, and held official talks. Earlier, Ukhnaa honored Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. His visit marks his first trip to India since taking office.

He arrived on Monday for a four-day State Visit and received a ceremonial welcome at the airport. President Droupadi Murmu will host a banquet for him, while key ministers are expected to meet him. India and Mongolia have shared diplomatic ties since 1955. Their partnership covers defense, energy, technology, and cultural exchange, guided by shared democratic values and historical ties.
