Myanmar exports 1.5 million tonnes of rice in 2025-2026

Myanmar exported over 1.5 million tonnes of rice in the first seven months of the current financial year, generating approximately 499 million dollars in revenue. A representative from the Myanmar Rice Federation reported that the country shipped rice to numerous international destinations, including the Philippines, China, and several European nations. Sea trade serves as the primary channel for these exports.

The federation and export companies are making concerted efforts to achieve their annual export target of three million tonnes. Monthly export figures fluctuated, with a high of 310,000 tonnes recorded in October.
