Croatia sees 10% drop in unemployment in October 2025

Croatia experienced a significant annual decrease in unemployment this October, with registered unemployed persons falling by 9.8 percent compared to the same period last year. According to the Croatian Employment Service, 77,825 people were registered as unemployed at the end of the month.

Despite the yearly improvement, the figure represented a 4.4 percent increase from September, with 18,072 people newly registered. Most of those leaving the unemployment register did so by finding work, with the highest employment gains in trade, manufacturing, and education. Split-Dalmatia County, Osijek-Baranja County, and the City of Zagreb recorded the highest numbers of unemployed individuals.

A total of 14,867 jobs were advertised during the month, seeking 22,912 workers, which was a 9.4 percent decrease from the previous October.
