NCC to submit reform charter by October 31

Prof Ali Riaz, Vice Chair of the National Consensus Commission (NCC), announced on Thursday that the Commission will present a clear and specific recommendation to the government regarding the implementation of the July National Charter 2025 before its extended term ends on 31 October.

Speaking at a press briefing, Prof Riaz confirmed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring the Charter’s implementation within the remaining period. He expressed hope that all political parties would sign the Charter on Friday, in a spirit of unity.

Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki also attended the briefing, stating that the signing ceremony would involve politicians and representatives from all sectors of society. The final report, about 3,000 pages long, will be submitted by the Commission before the end of its term.
