Ninova slams fake govt, demands real change in Bulgaria
Cornelia Ninova of Unruly Bulgaria criticized recent political developments as meaningless theater that wasted critical time needed for budget discussions and economic planning. She accused former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov of backing down from his positions within 24 hours after election losses in Pazardzhik. Ninova claimed Delyan Peevski controls government decisions and maintains what she called a corrupt administration.
The opposition leader condemned the Bulgarian Socialist Party for abandoning principles to support the government. She disputed claims of stability and pointed to declining industrial production over 24 months, falling exports, and reduced investments. Ninova cited rising inflation, water shortages, and infrastructure problems as evidence of governmental failure.
She referenced a Constitutional Court ruling that questioned the legitimacy of parliamentary elections and the resulting government. Ninova reported widespread public dissatisfaction across Bulgarian cities over various issues. She questioned speculation about President Rumen Radev forming a political party and emphasized the need for moral leadership with proven economic management experience.
