Ogun Water Corporation cracks down on illegal connections

The Ogun State Water Corporation has warned residents against illegal water connections and meter tampering. The agency launched “Operation SWEEP” to stop these activities and impose fines on those caught. The corporation stated that anyone involved in such practices will face strict penalties. It also warned that customers owing over ₦300,000 will lose their water supply unless they pay or make a payment plan. The corporation will enforce a “Use or Lose” policy, taking meters from customers who do not use them regularly and giving them to those who comply.
