Victor Osimhen is on the verge of breaking Rashidi Yekini’s long-standing record for Nigeria’s all-time top scorers after his stunning hat-trick in the 4–0 win over the Benin Republic. Coming into the match with 26 goals, Osimhen’s three goals took his tally to 29, closing the gap to just eight goals behind Yekini, who holds the record with 37.
