Parthsarthi Mundhe, Tavish Pahwa win U-16 titles at Fenesta Open
Top seed Parthsarthi Mundhe and eighth seed Tavish Pahwa clinched the U-16 titles at the 2025 Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship in New Delhi on Saturday. Parthsarthi faced a fiery challenge from Shreeniti Chowdhury, but after losing the second set, she stormed back to win 6-0, 3-6, 6-4 in nearly two hours.
Tavish Pahwa dominated the Boys’ U-16 final, breezing past Mannan Ashok Agarwal 6-2, 6-3. His solid baseline game and mental toughness kept him in control throughout. Meanwhile, Jensi Kanabar stunned top seed Padma Priya Rameshkumar 6-2, 6-2 in the U-14 Girls’ final, and Harsh Marwaha upset fifth seed Aarav Mulay 6-2, 6-2 in the Boys’ U-14 final.
In doubles, Tavish and Prakaash Sarran triumphed in a thrilling U-16 match, while Parthsarthi and Akansha Ghosh bagged the U-16 Girls’ title. Winners walked away with tennis scholarships and kit allowances, making it a big day for India’s rising stars.
