Peevski rips Rashkov over ‘crime scene’ photo feud
Delyan Peevski accused former Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov of lying about the location where photographs showed him with businessman Muharem, known as Mukhat. The DPS – New Beginning leader told reporters outside parliament on Tuesday that the images were captured at a property on Stara Planina Street in Haskovo rather than Pazardzhik, as Rashkov claimed. Peevski said he would continue exposing what he described as harassment by officials who also operated during communist times.
The dispute centers on photographs Peevski displayed in late October that allegedly document staged events in Pazardzhik involving citizen detention of a vehicle linked to suspected vote buying in Ognyanovo. Rashkov previously explained he appeared at polling station 44 in Pazardzhik, where authorities brought the precinct chairman from Bukovlak to manage voting operations while observers monitored procedures at the regional police directorate.
Peevski vowed to prevent such individuals from targeting citizens again and referenced another official he criticized. He characterized Rashkov as attempting to deflect attention after being exposed.
