Penang police to increase patrols at boarding schools to curb bullying

Penang police will increase patrols at boarding schools, especially at night, using the Patrol Car Unit (MPV) and Motorcycle Patrol Unit (URB) to prevent bullying and ensure safety.

Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail said the periodic patrols would create a safer environment in schools with hostels. School Liaison Officers will also be stationed more frequently to enhance police presence.

In a separate case, police are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in a suitcase near the Ampang Jajar Flats on October 9. Statements have been recorded from three individuals who assisted in the investigation, and more individuals may be questioned as police work to identify the suspect. The victim, Lee Boon Han, 31, had been reported missing the day before.
