14 foreign nationals detained in KL joint enforcement operation

A joint enforcement operation, involving City Hall (DBKL), the Immigration Department, and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, led to the detention of 14 foreign nationals.

The “KL Strike Force” operation took place in Taman Batu Muda yesterday. The detainees were arrested for offences such as misuse of work permits and overstaying their authorised duration. They were brought to the Kuala Lumpur Immigration headquarters for documentation.

DBKL shut down two premises operated by foreign nationals without valid business licences, and six compound notices were issued for offences like unlicensed trading. Customs officers also seized 68,028 sticks of untaxed cigarettes worth RM60,000 in unpaid duties.
