Poreč, Split to get super luxury hotels in 2026
Hold on tight because Croatia’s about to get a serious facelift in tourism. Poreč and Split are on track to get game-changing luxury hotels by 2026, and it’s going to shake things up big time. The Croatian tourism industry has long struggled with a lack of high-end hotels to lure wealthy tourists year-round, but that’s about to change.
The Pical resort in Poreč will open in spring 2026 with a jaw-dropping 540 rooms and a Michelin-starred restaurant straight from Trieste. And over in Split, the Marjan hotel will drop 285 luxurious rooms and a branch of Rovinj’s top-rated Cap Aureo. Forget the tiny, year-round hotels—this is a whole new ball game for Croatia.
