Real Madrid considers selling club shares to investors
The Athletic reported that Real Madrid plans to allow external investment by selling shares of the club. This would be a major change in the club’s ownership structure.
President Florentino Perez believes that outside investors can help Real Madrid compete with state-backed clubs like Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. He plans to present the idea at the club’s next general assembly.
If approved, this would be the first time in history that Real Madrid opens itself to external investment. Other La Liga clubs may follow, potentially changing Spanish football forever.
