Russian ambassador blasts Global North for neo-colonial practices

Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, criticized the “so-called Global North” for using neo-colonial methods, sanctions, and trade wars to keep control. He said these actions show a refusal to accept a world where power is shared. Speaking at the 25th India-Russia Strategic Partnership event, Alipov praised the strong relationship between India and Russia, calling it based on trust and respect. He noted that this partnership has driven global growth and is a model of stable international cooperation.

Alipov also emphasized the rise of groups like BRICS, which represent the Global South and foster cooperation free from politics. He said Russia continues to support India with resources and alternative trade routes.
