Salem Al-Dawsari named Best Player in Asia again

Salem Al-Dawsari, a player for Al-Hilal Club, won the Best Player in Asia award for 2025. The ceremony took place on Thursday night at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. This event was part of the 29th Asian Football Confederation Awards, which Saudi Arabia hosted for the first time.

Al-Dawsari beat Akram Afif from Qatar and Aref Ayman Hanbi from Malaysia to win the top prize. He became the first Saudi player to win the Best Asian Player award twice. Al-Dawsari had already won the award in 2022. This victory came shortly after he helped Saudi Arabia reach the 2026 World Cup.
