Raphinha recovery progress boosts Barcelona’s Clasico hopes

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that FC Barcelona received positive news about Brazilian winger Raphinha’s recovery from a hamstring injury sustained in the match against Oviedo. After undergoing an MRI scan on Thursday, the results were encouraging, raising hopes that he could return in time for the Clasico against Real Madrid on October 26.

Although Raphinha’s initial recovery period was set for three weeks, ending Friday, he has not yet returned to team training and will miss the match against Girona next Saturday. There is a possibility he could be included in the squad for the Olympiacos match in the Champions League next Tuesday, but the coaching staff, led by Hans Flick, prefers to avoid rushing his return to ensure full recovery before the Clasico, where he may start on the bench if needed.
