Satish Shah laid to rest in Mumbai funeral
Actor Satish Shah died on Saturday in Mumbai at age 74 from kidney failure after falling ill at home and being rushed to Hinduja Hospital in Shivaji Park. His funeral took place on Sunday at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle West, where colleagues from his hit series Sarabhai vs Sarabhai gathered alongside other industry figures to honor him.
Shah built a four-decade career as a character actor recognized for comic timing across film and television. He gained prominence through Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi before portraying Indravadan Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and appearing in films such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed the death through social media and described the loss as significant for the entertainment industry.
