Senior General Min Aung Hlaing marks 10 years of NCA in Nay Pyi Taw

Acting President of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, delivered an address at the 10th Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) at MICC I in Nay Pyi Taw. He was joined by Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, and ethnic leaders who cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the celebration. The Senior General unveiled a signboard and encouraged attendees to share their views on the peace process, which were hung on a peace tree.

The event featured performances, including a song titled “Toward a Peaceful, New, Modern State,” and a video highlighting NCA’s role in Myanmar’s peace and development. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed the country’s challenges and emphasized the importance of education, stability, and a fair election process. He reaffirmed his commitment to peace and urged all stakeholders to act with genuine intent for the nation’s prosperity.

Leaders from ethnic groups and international witnesses, such as representatives from China, India, and ASEAN, also spoke. Commemorative gifts were presented to key guests. The ceremony was attended by government officials, political leaders, and representatives of ethnic groups and international organizations. The Senior General hosted a lunch for the attendees afterward.
