Shuvosangho aids imam ahead of daughter’s wedding

A charitable organization delivered two sacks of rice to Abdur Rashid, a disabled mosque leader in Dinajpur Sadar upazila who struggled to afford food for his daughter’s wedding. Bashundhara Shuvosangho members presented the gift on Friday after learning about his financial difficulties. Rashid earns a modest income from leading prayers at a neighborhood mosque and supports his wife and two daughters with limited resources.

Astarul Alam, who leads the local chapter, said the group focuses on helping disadvantaged residents build better lives through direct assistance. Rashid thanked the donors and said their generosity restores faith in community values. Several officials attended the ceremony at his home in Doptori Para. The imam asked for blessings on the organization and its supporters.
