Morsalin Diabaté fire Abahani to 4-2 win

Abahani Limited Dhaka defeated Fakirerpool Youngmen’s Club 4-2 at Bashundhara Kings Arena on Friday to open their Federation Cup campaign. Shekh Morsalin and Souleymane Diabate each scored twice for the Sky Blues after they had earned one draw and suffered one loss in league play. Diabate converted two penalties in the first half, while Morsalin added goals before halftime and in the 64th minute.

Fakirerpool responded through Shanto Tuddu and Riyad but could not overcome the deficit. Brothers Union and Rahmatganj MFS finished scoreless in Cumilla in the other match. The tournament pauses until Dec. 2, then resumes competition.
