Shuvosangho hosts anti-drug football match

A football match between female players and teenage boys promoted social awareness at Palashbari Government College field on Friday. Bashundhara Shuvosangho organized the 30-minute game to oppose drugs and child marriage. The contest ended without goals, but goalkeeper Kumari Adrita Rani impressed spectators with strong defensive work. Players took an oath before kickoff to resist harmful practices affecting young people.

Suruj Haque Liton led the opening session as president of the local chapter and women’s football trainer. Former Union Parishad chairman Anisur Rahman Manik praised the creative approach to raising awareness through sports. Teacher Sabina Yasmin thanked organizers for engaging youth in humanitarian activities and called for stronger protections for women. The event demonstrated how athletic competition can address community challenges facing families.
