The government plans to bring digital technology to 100 schools in the Chittagong Hill Tracts by November. Adviser Supradip Chakma said multimedia classrooms are already in place at most sites, and officials expect to complete the remaining installations soon. He addressed members of the Buddhist community at a religious festival on Friday in Mirpur.
Chakma said quality schooling remains necessary for lasting progress across the region. Officials distributed 530 crore taka to local groups, with 40 percent allocated to livelihood programs. The adviser told staff to create practical projects that help residents earn income and strengthen the economy.
Young people from the hill districts show strong abilities and will succeed with adequate support. Authorities have not yet adopted standard development plans for the area. Chakma stressed that proper fund management will generate jobs and benefit communities throughout Chittagong Hill Tracts.
