Tanzanian acrobats dazzle at China circus festival
Under bright lights at the 20th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival, four Tanzanian acrobats wowed the crowd with gravity-defying stunts. The festival, one of the world’s top three acrobatic events, took place in Wuqiao County, China, known as the birthplace of Chinese acrobatics. Acrobats from 19 countries performed 28 acts over six days, showcasing exceptional skill.
Wuqiao, with a rich acrobatic history dating back more than 2,000 years, has embraced both tradition and innovation. The local tourism industry, driven by acrobatic performances, has flourished, providing jobs and boosting the economy. The county also draws international talent, with students from across the globe training at local schools, strengthening cultural ties through acrobatics.
