Terrorists target Indian Army post in Assam’s Kakopathar

Terrorists fired on an Indian Army post in Kakopathar, Assam, late Friday night. The attack came from a moving vehicle and targeted the Army post. The soldiers responded quickly, ensuring no harm to nearby civilian homes.

The gunfight lasted a few minutes before the attackers fled. Initial reports suggest the terrorists used automatic weapons to test the Army’s readiness. Three soldiers had minor injuries.

Searches with Assam Police are ongoing to find the attackers. Kakopathar has seen past militant activity, and there are still small insurgent groups in the area. The Army and police are strengthening security before the festive season.
