Train disrupted on Dhaka-Mymensingh route after coach detaches

A detached railcar halted trains between Dhaka and Mymensingh for 30 minutes on Saturday night after equipment on the Jamalpur Express failed. The train was traveling through Gafargaon upazila when a connecting hook snapped at 10 p.m., separating coach K from other cars between Rouha and Kalibazar stations. The locomotive and attached coaches rolled two kilometers before the operator discovered the problem, said Sub-Inspector Golam Kibria of the Gafargaon Railway outpost. Crews reversed the train to reattach the separated coach before continuing to Dhaka.
