Trump honored in Israel, Egypt despite Nobel snub
US President Donald Trump was honored to speak to the Israeli parliament on Monday, a privilege given to few US leaders. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu praised Trump for doing more for Israel than any other American president. Many Israelis celebrated the visit, dancing in the streets with hats that said “Trump The Peace President.”
Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza includes a ceasefire, the release of captives, and Israeli withdrawal. Though many believe Trump deserved the Nobel Peace Prize, he was overlooked this year. In return, Israel awarded him the Presidential Medal of Honor, and Egypt gave him the Nile Collar for his peace efforts.
