Two killed, three injured in fiery crash on Senai-Desaru Expressway

A deadly three-vehicle crash on the Senai-Desaru Expressway at KM56 left two people dead and three others seriously injured yesterday. The collision, which occurred around 11:25 a.m., involved a Toyota Fortuner, a Volkswagen, and a Honda CR-V.

Firefighters arrived to find two vehicles on fire, with five people already pulled from the wreckage by bystanders. The crash caused the fatalities and serious injuries, not the flames. The Toyota Fortuner collided with the Volkswagen, igniting both vehicles, while the Honda CR-V tried but failed to avoid the crash, though all its occupants were unharmed.

Police confirmed the tragic incident, with the bodies sent to Kota Tinggi Hospital and the injured taken to Sultan Ismail Hospital for treatment. Investigations are ongoing.
