Windows 11: QR Code sharing and widgets

Microsoft Windows 11 operating system will soon let you share files and links using QR codes. This feature has been spotted in a preview build of the operating system. Microsoft Corporation is also testing widgets on the login screen of Windows 11 OS.

QR codes in Windows 11 OS

You can generate QR codes in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3420. To do this, open the share menu in Windows 11 and then click on the QR code icon.

According to Microsoft, Preview Build 22635.3420 (KB5035953), also includes the option to display widgets on the login screen. These appear at the bottom of the screen and can be activated via the settings menu.
