Yogi Adityanath announces Diwali bonus for 14 lakh UP employees
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a Diwali bonus of up to Rs 6,908 for over 14 lakh state government employees for the financial year 2024-25, benefiting those up to Salary Matrix Level-8. The total expenditure for this initiative will be around Rs 1,022 crore. In his message, CM Adityanath expressed appreciation for the employees’ loyalty and hard work, emphasizing that this bonus was a gesture of gratitude from the state government.
The CM also directed the timely disbursement of the bonuses to ensure that state employees and their families can celebrate Diwali with joy. He acknowledged the crucial role of government employees in the state’s progress and affirmed the government’s commitment to their welfare.
In a separate meeting, CM Adityanath discussed the importance of robust and credible data for the state’s growth, particularly in sectors like agriculture, health, and education. He assured continued support for statistical initiatives and highlighted efforts to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s statistical system to achieve its goal of becoming a one trillion-dollar economy.
