ZACC urges Zimbabweans to unite against corruption
The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission called on all Zimbabweans to work together to fight corruption. Mrs. Clara Nyakotyo made this plea in Marondera at the start of talks to create a new anti-corruption plan. The first plan began in 2020 and ended in 2024. The new plan focuses on five key areas: public involvement, law changes, better institutions, enforcement, and specific sectors at risk of corruption.
Mrs. Nyakotyo said everyone must take part in the fight. She stressed that corruption harms everyone and needs a shared response. She also said that the people most affected must lead efforts against corruption. The private sector, women, youth, and civil servants all have roles to play. Success depends on all working together for a fairer Zimbabwe.
