ZRP tightens security ahead of planned demonstrations

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has assured the public that strong security measures are in place ahead of tomorrow’s planned demonstrations, reportedly organized by former ZANU-PF member Blessed Geza.

In a statement, ZRP spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed nationwide police deployments to ensure the safety of lives, property, and infrastructure. He emphasized that all essential services, including schools, businesses, and government offices, will continue to operate normally.

Nyathi warned against spreading false information and incitement on social media, stating that offenders will face legal consequences. He also warned that any unlawful gatherings or demonstrations would be met with firm police action. Citizens are urged to report suspicious activities to the police.
