18-year-old killed in crash on Oreshak road
An 18-year-old woman died after her vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete pole on the Oreshak-Troyan route early Sunday, according to the Lovech regional police directorate. The crash happened around 1 a.m. as the car traveled straight before veering off course and overturning.
Three passengers sustained injuries in the collision. Medical personnel transported a 22-year-old to Troyan hospital and transferred a 17-year-old to a Pleven facility, while another 22-year-old received outpatient care.
Authorities opened an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. The incident highlights concerns about inexperienced drivers operating vehicles at night and their awareness of road conditions.
