42 killed, 49 injured in deadly bus crash in Limpopo, South Africa
A devastating bus crash in northern South Africa has left at least 42 people dead and 49 others injured. The bus, traveling from Gqeberha toward Zimbabwe and Malawi, veered off a steep mountain pass and plunged down an embankment in Limpopo province on Monday. Among the dead were seven children.
The crash left six people critically injured, 31 seriously hurt, and 12 with minor injuries. Emergency crews airlifted a critically injured child to a hospital, while others were taken to nearby medical centers. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash, and President Cyril Ramaphosa expressed his condolences, calling it a tragedy for South Africa and its neighboring nations.
