Adani, Google to build India’s largest AI data center in Visakhapatnam
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced a landmark partnership with Google to develop India’s largest AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project, a joint venture between AdaniConneX and Google, will create a state-of-the-art facility designed to support AI-driven solutions for critical sectors like healthcare, agriculture, logistics, and finance.
Adani expressed pride in the collaboration, highlighting the facility’s role in advancing India’s AI revolution by providing the necessary infrastructure for deep learning and AI model training. The AI hub is a $15 billion investment over five years, with a focus on clean energy and robust subsea cable networks to handle demanding AI workloads.
Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian added that the partnership would bring cutting-edge technology closer to Indian communities, enabling global innovation and growth.
