Advent Zagreb 2025 set to light up the city with festive cheer

The city of Zagreb is preparing for its Advent Zagreb 2025 season, an event recognized as one of Europe’s premier Christmas markets. The festivities will run from late November to early January, transforming the Croatian capital with festive decorations, culinary offerings, and cultural activities.

Mayor Tomislav Tomašević announced that the event would return on a full scale, with a key focus on the revitalized Upper Town area and the renovated Strossmayer Promenade. He encouraged visitors to use public transportation due to the anticipated large crowds. Martina Bienenfeld, Director of the Zagreb Tourist Board, detailed planned attractions including a special food zone, decorative areas, and festive concerts. New artistic collaborations with Saša Šekoranja and Nenad Sovilja will feature installations in the Oktogon Passage and city museums.

The event’s international profile is supported by promotional campaigns in fifteen markets, including an advertisement placement in the London Underground. The city expects to welcome numerous international visitors, aided by good flight connections and a wide range of hotel accommodations.
