Afua Kobi SHS donates drone GHF Susan to Ghana Air Force

A Ghanaian secondary school donated a radio-controlled aircraft to the Ghana Air Force Aviation College on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025. The Afua Kobi Ampem Girls Senior High School presented the craft named GHF Susan after a third-year STEM student to serve as a training tool for cadets. Engineer Ferdinand Sam led the team that delivered the aircraft to Wing Commander Ntiamoah, who accepted it on behalf of the Chief of Air Staff.

The school’s STEM department has previously built drones for the Ghana National Fire Service, and the air force reinforced its partnership with state institutions. Sam thanked college officials for their reception, and he committed to developing projects that benefit Ghana. The donation advances the school’s efforts to nurture innovation in the West African nation’s technological sector.
