KTI PTA renovates four blocks in Ashanti Region school

The Parents and Teachers Association at Kumasi Technical Institute started renovations to upgrade facilities for the expanding student body in the Ashanti Region. The group will restore four structures in the initial phase: the administration building, science block, auditorium, and boys’ dormitory. Financial Secretary Abdul Basit Yawuza said the association plans to expand some buildings to accommodate additional students.

The school has not undergone major improvements in three decades. Yawuza requested assistance from regional lawmakers, development partners, alumni, and other contributors to fund the work. The association will begin a second renovation phase after finishing the first stage, and officials depend on community backing to modernize the learning environment.
