AR Rahman teases surprises for Hyderabad gig

Composer AR Rahman discussed his upcoming performance in Hyderabad and his preference for creating new material rather than revisiting past work. The musician stated he lacks time to return to earlier compositions and focuses on forward movement. His second event with Hyderabad Talkies takes place on Friday, November 8, at Ramoji Film City. Rahman described the program as carefully designed for continuous energy.

The Oscar winner reflected on his relationship with the city and Telugu cinema spanning from 1993 to recent projects with Ram Charan. He emphasized that music transcends language barriers as listeners worldwide connect with songs regardless of their native tongue. Rahman values freshness and emotional impact above other qualities. The artist promised unexpected elements for the venue’s audience.

Sainath Goud Malkapuram of Hyderabad Talkies expressed enthusiasm about working with Rahman following a March collaboration with MM Keeravani. Both musicians have won Academy Awards for their contributions to film music. Rahman grew up performing music for Telugu films and considers this appearance a meaningful return.
