ASUS unveils ProArt 8K monitor for creators

ASUS is launching its most advanced creator monitor yet, the ProArt Display 8K PA32KCX, this October. Designed for video editors, colorists, and VFX artists, it features a 32-inch 8K resolution (7680 × 4320) and Mini LED backlighting with 4032 local dimming zones. The monitor offers 1200 nits peak brightness and 1000 nits sustained brightness for HDR mastering, with fine-tuned LED optics to reduce haloing and flicker.

The panel covers 95% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3, and full sRGB and Rec. 709, providing a true 10-bit display with over a billion colors. Factory-calibrated with a Delta E under 1, it includes a motorized colorimeter for automatic calibration. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, and HDMI 2.1, plus Auto KVM for seamless dual-PC use.

The monitor also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, and offers features like automatic brightness adjustment, Picture-in-Picture, and Picture-by-Picture modes. Its ergonomic design includes tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments, along with a detachable hood to reduce glare. ASUS includes a three-month Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, valued at $397.
