Bago Region okays three new investments, 1,285 new jobs
Bago Region authorities approved three business ventures during November 2025 that will generate employment for 1,285 workers, with one international enterprise contributing $1.425 million while two local companies invested 4.93 billion kyat combined. The regional investment committee conducted its fifth session of the year to authorize these projects under established regulatory frameworks designed to expand economic activity.
Since February 2021 through mid-January 2025, the region has attracted $214.328 million in foreign capital alongside 234.111 billion kyat from domestic sources, establishing positions for 15,619 individuals. Monthly committee reviews continue processing both international and Myanmar investment applications to strengthen employment prospects for regional residents.
