Bangladesh Krishi Bank seminar tackles agricultural financing challenges

A seminar titled “Role of Bangladesh Krishi Bank in Agricultural Development: Roadmap to Overcoming Challenges” was held on October 16, 2025, at Bangladesh Krishi Bank’s head office auditorium. Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, was the chief guest.

During the seminar, Managing Director Sanchia Binte Ali presented a roadmap discussing the bank’s role in financing the high-risk agricultural sector and the challenges faced. The Chief Guest praised the bank’s role in supporting the agricultural economy and stressed the importance of implementing the roadmap to overcome challenges, ensuring continuous development and profitability for the bank.

Dr. Mohammad Zahid Hossain, Chairman of the Board, chaired the event, with special speaker Md. Sayed Kutub, additional secretary, and other senior officials from the bank are also attending.
