Bangladesh West Indies set for T20 spin duel

West Indies added left-arm spinner Khary Pierre to their Twenty20 squad after pacer Shamar Joseph withdrew because of injury. The Caribbean team will field three left-arm spinners when the series begins on Monday at Chattogram’s Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh won the preceding one-day series 2-1 at Mirpur, with strong spin bowling performances from both sides.

The visitors bowled their complete allotment with spin alone in the second one-day match. Both squads traveled to Chattogram on Friday ahead of three Twenty20 contests scheduled for October 27, 29, and 31. Pierre joins fellow left-armers Akeal Hosein and Gudakesh Motie in a rotation expected to dominate the shorter format. Captain Shai Hope leads a 15-player roster that features all-rounders Roston Chase and Jason Holder among experienced performers ready for spin-friendly conditions.
