Bangladesh win historic kabaddi medals in Bahrain

Bangladesh kabaddi teams arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday evening after winning bronze medals at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain. Officials from the Bangladesh Olympic Association and Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation welcomed the athletes with flowers. The girls’ squad defeated Sri Lanka to claim the nation’s first medal at the competition, beating rivals from India, Iran, and Thailand. The boys’ team also earned bronze by beating Iran and Sri Lanka before victories over Pakistan and Bahrain secured third place among seven countries.
